Victor L. Powell is the founder/CEO of VLP Think BIG, a consulting company located in southwest Georgia. Over the past 35 years, he has traveled across the world teaching on leadership, diversity and inclusion, conflict resolution, and so much more. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor of Rhema Word Cathedral located in Albany, Georgia. His widespread influence and ability to provide tangible leadership resources to entities around the world, has enabled him to be a thought provoking leader.

Victor L. Powell received an honorary doctorate in Theology, earned a bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies, and has trained for certifications as a life coach and a mediator. He has an extensive background in law enforcement, training, and ministry. He was a sergeant at the Georgia Probation Center and was the first trainer at Autry State Prison. Law Enforcement agencies and their corresponding professional organizations have also sought out Victor Powell as a trainer as well as colleges and universities.

 

He currently serves as a trainer for other agencies such as the Georgia Housing Authority, providing sessions for both residents and employees on team-building, diversity, conflict resolution, and more.

 

Victor Powell has trained people across the United States as well as in Central America, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, and South America.  In honor of his hard work and diligence as a world citizen, Powell was recognized by the Georgia House of Representatives and honored through an official Resolution by the U. S. Congress. He also received an official proclamation from the Albany mayor’s office and was the recipient of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Award.

Victor Powell visited the White House during President Obama's tenure. He has been a long-time advisor to Pam Green Jackson, a recipient of the Medal of Freedom award.

 

Powell is also a thought influencer, having been selected by Representative Sanford Bishop's office as one of two religious leaders from the region to attend a forum at the nation's Capitol.
